# License status

No final public license was specified for the source workbook. This draft therefore does **not** declare that the source content has been released under an open license.

For OBO Foundry compatibility, the owner should approve an open license before public release. A practical default is **CC BY 4.0** for the complete package. **CC0 1.0** may be considered for ontology axioms and identifier mappings if the owner wants maximally frictionless reuse.

Before release:

1. Confirm ownership or permission for every source definition and compiled reference.
2. Select and approve the license.
3. Replace all `PENDING_OWNER_APPROVAL` markers.
4. Add the final license URI to ontology metadata, `CITATION.cff`, and the registry record.
